At Taylor Made Sales, we believe the real power of technology comes from the people behind it. Team Taylor is our way of recognising those people. The thinkers. The doers. The coffee-loving problem solvers who turn complex challenges into practical results.
Each month, we spotlight one of our incredible team members and share their story. From career highlights to morning rituals and the songs they secretly sing when no one is around, we’re here to show you the humans behind the work.
Because at the heart of everything we do, it’s people who make the difference. ✨
Meet Jason King

Your Career Journey
Let's start with your professional story!
Can you tell us a bit about your career journey?
I started out in retail sales, learning the ropes through face-to-face customer service and figuring out what makes people tick. From there I moved into B2B sales, got a taste for strategy and never looked back. Along the way I explored everything from tech startups to manufacturing, picking up a bit of everything and sharpening my skills as I went.
What led you to Taylor Made Sales?
I’d heard great things about the culture. Supportive, down to earth and genuinely passionate about helping clients grow. When the opportunity came up it felt like a natural fit. I also liked the idea of being part of a team that combines classic relationship building with smart, modern sales systems.
What’s the most rewarding part of your work?
Seeing someone hit a target they thought was out of reach. Whether it’s a client achieving their growth goals or a team member having a breakthrough moment, that lightbulb feeling never gets old. 💡
If you could give career advice to your younger self, what would it be?
Back yourself sooner. You don’t need to have all the answers. You just need to be curious, consistent and open to asking good questions.
Beyond the Job—Let’s Get Personal!
A little fun to get to know you better!
If my life were a movie or TV show, it would be…
The Good Place meets The Office. A little quirky, full of lessons and packed with laughs.
There’s a part of me that leans philosophical, and another part that just wants to drop a well-timed one-liner and keep things light. This combo pretty much nails it. 😏
If I could launch my own business tomorrow, it would be…
A mobile coffee van that doubles as a pop-up co-working space. Great coffee, fast Wi-Fi and even faster banter.
My go-to pump-up song before a big meeting is…
Can’t Hold Us by Macklemore. It brings the energy and helps me walk in ready to go.
That first beat hits and you know it’s game time. It’s the kind of song that makes you want to kick the door open and say, “Let’s do this.” 💪
If my life had a tagline, it would be…
"Keep it curious, keep it kind."
That’s how I try to approach everything. Stay open, ask the good questions, and treat people well along the way.
Coffee, tea, or something stronger? (Bonus: How do you take it?)
Flat white, strong, one sugar. Just enough kick to keep the brain firing without going overboard. ☕
If we had a Taylor Made Sales talent show, my hidden talent would be…
Translating Aussie slang for confused overseas clients. Think of it as cultural consulting with a side of humour!
Reflections on Your Career
Your take on work, growth, and the future!
What’s a memorable moment in your career that stands out?
Helping a client land their biggest deal after months of relationship building. We celebrated with Tim Tams and takeaway pizza.
Nothing fancy, just genuine excitement and a sense of shared achievement. That kind of moment reminds you that the relationships you build really do pay off. 🙌
What’s one thing you’ve learned in your career that you wish more people knew?
You don’t need to sound like a salesperson to be great at sales. Listening well, being real and showing up consistently will always win.
People don’t want to be pitched to. They want to be understood.
If Taylor Made Sales had an official playlist, which song must be on it?
Eye of the Tiger for the big push moments and Working Class Man for a bit of Aussie grit. There’s something about that combo that sums up the vibe at TMS: focused, determined and proud of doing the hard work well.
Imagine it’s 2035—what does a day in the life of a tech professional look like?AI handles the admin, meetings happen in holograms and you clock off early because productivity is through the roof. Your smartwatch probably makes better coffee than your local café.
Alter Ego: The Philosopher-Barista
Calm. Curious. Caffeinated.
Jason’s alter ego is The Philosopher-Barista, a quiet force who blends sharp thinking with a grounded, people-first approach. He’s the kind of character who’s always two steps ahead, but never makes a show of it. Instead, he listens first, brews a plan, and brings just the right balance of clarity, calm and caffeine to every situation.
He thrives on meaningful conversations, well-timed insights and that moment when someone realises they’re capable of more than they thought. Whether he’s helping a client land a game-changing deal or turning a tough day around with a perfectly timed one-liner, Jason operates with precision, empathy and a dry wit that leaves a lasting impression.

From retail floors to B2B boardrooms, Jason’s path has been anything but ordinary. He’s followed curiosity over convention, said yes to the unknown and turned every chapter into a chance to grow. Strategic, people smart and always up for a challenge, he’s built a career that’s as sharp as it is human.
Keep an eye out for the next Team Taylor feature as we continue to celebrate the incredible people who bring Taylor Made Sales to life. 💖
